Marriage Registration Certificate

Marriage registration is the legal documentation of a marriage union. In Pakistan, marriage must be registered with local government authorities and certified by the Union Council.

Eligibility

Legally married couples (under Islamic law or civil law). Both parties must be of legal age for marriage in Pakistan.

Required Documents

  • Original CNIC of both spouses
  • Nikkah Nama (marriage contract)
  • Wali and witnesses (as per Islamic practice)
  • Photographs of the couple
  • Proof of residence
  • Character witnesses

  • Marriage registration: Rs. 50-100
  • Certified copy: Rs. 50
  • Delayed registration: Rs. 100-500
